ACUPUNCTURE
The human body is comprised of a network of energetic pathways called meridians. Specific points on these meridians are stimulated by hair-thin, sterile, stainless needles to activate the body’s natural healing response. Smooth flow of energy along the meridians can help alleviate pain, balance hormones, increase blood flow and bring the body to an optimum state of vitality.
Initial meet (full consultation and treatment) $180
Follow up treatment $130 (discounted treatment packages available)
Cupping
Vacuum suction is created pulling the muscle layers upward as the blood vessels expand. This increases blood flow and circulation of the lymphatic fluids. Cupping is often used for muscle tension, inflammation and chronic pain. However, it can also benefit respiratory health, skin conditions and stress reduction. Suction cups can be stationary or moved along the meridians which gives a similar feeling to deep tissue massage and is very relaxing.
Gua Sha
Gua Sha manual therapy is used in conjunction with acupuncture, specifically facial acupuncture. A smooth edged tool is scraped on the skin with repeated strokes to improve blood circulation. It is generally performed on the neck and upper back for the common cold, arms and legs for muscular tension and internal energy blockages. Many people enjoy facial Gua Sha as it stimulates soft tissues, tightens up facial muscles, and moves lymphatic fluids leaving the skin soft and smooth.
Cosmetic Acupuncture
In Chinese Medicine, the face is a reflection of the entire body. Meridians or networks of energetic pathways extend from the bottom of the feet to the top of the head. In Cosmetic Acupuncture, we treat signs of aging and stress on the face while treating the whole body, hence the holistic approach. Each treatment is customized to the current condition of the body and will include face and body points. By puncturing the skin with tiny needles, the brain sends a message to carry nutrients into the cells of the face. This brings radiance and circulation to the skin, the “anti-aging” effect.
Although you may see some improvements as quickly as the first treatment, this is a natural process that takes series of treatments. We support to enhance a natural and healthy appearance in addition to emotional balance for true beauty from within.
Moxibustion
Used in Chinese Medicine to burn Ai Ye or Mugwort on certain acupuncture points to facilitate healing or maintain general health. Moxibustion is a form of heat therapy and is used to target “cold” pathogens residing in the body, which usually causes pain. Very beneficial for increasing immunity, regulating menstruation, relieving pain, arthritis and digestive problems, and those with postpartum.
Chinese Herbal Medicine
Chinese Herbal Medicine is very safe, effective, and a complementary therapy used alongside acupuncture. Herbal formulas are customized to individual conditions and constitutions. They are therapeutically designed to correct internal imbalances and encourage self healing. Because herbs are prescribed in combination, the complexity of different herbal components balance each other, harmonizing the effectiveness synergistically.
